ForMin Lazar Comanescu meets Cyril Muller, in context of 25 years of Romania – IBRD relations

Foreign Affairs Minister Lazar Comanescu welcomed on Tuesday Vice President for Europe and Central Asia with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development Cyril Muller, in the context of celebrating 25 years of Romania - IBRD relations.

Lazar Comanescu hailed the role which the IBRD involvement in projects carried out in Romania over the past decades played in the economic evolution of Romania and in the macro and microeconomic reform process.

"At the same time, he highlighted that Romania's positive economic trend of the recent years - which places us on top of the development paces in the European union - contributed to consolidating our country's profile of factor generating political and economic stability in a region characterised by complex developments," MAE mentions.

The meeting took place in the context of celebrating 25 years of relations between Romania and the bank and is part of the constant economic diplomacy demarches of the MAE aimed at strengthening the relations with the most important international financial institutions, the release points out.
